🔍 Event details

Billy Meier(Billy Meier, born in Switzerland in 1937) claims that beginning in 1953 (at age 16) he started contact with beings fromthe Pleiadesaliens—namedAsket、Semjase、Ptaahand others—and kept up ongoing contact. He is the most famous European contactee in UFO history, and also one of the most controversial.

Meier claims to have takenhundreds of color photographs of flying saucersand films, showing the Pleiadians’ “beam ships” (beamships) flying over the Swiss countryside. These photographs caused a worldwide sensation in the 1970s. He also claimed the Pleiadians taught him the history of Earth, a cosmic philosophy, and prophecies of the future.

Later investigation, however, showed that:Many of the photographs were shown to have been faked with models and double-exposure techniques. The “flying saucers” in the photographs look very much like ordinary household objects (such as wedding-cake decorations). Meier’s “alien prophecies” (such as a Third World War) also failed to come true.Although he built a large international following (FIGU), his claims have almost no credibility in mainstream UFO research.
