Unconventional Flying Objects: A Scientific Analysis
📖 Unidentified Flying Objects: Possibilities from the Standpoint of Physics
This is a book that can draw in readers without a technical background and fascinate UFO enthusiasts who lean toward how machines work. Hill does not try to establish where UFOs come from. He argues that their functioning is feasible once established principles of physics are applied to existing reports that describe UFO behavior of striking consistency. In language that is technically accurate but not beyond a lay reader, he works out several possible propulsion systems for these mysterious craft.

Outstanding research.
This book was not published until after Dr. Paul Hill’s death, when his daughter gave his confidential notes to a publisher. As a senior scientist at NASA, Hill spent 30 years studying UFO sightings and landings. The government and NASA say they do not study UFOs, but all of this is documented. The book is full of detail, scientific principles, and facts, and it suits both lay readers and scientists. It is essential reading for anyone who wants to understand the truth about UFOs. Also look up the work of Steiger and Marrs in this field.
Also recommended: Alien Rapture, the excellent government-conspiracy thriller by Brad Steiger. Jim Marrs does outstanding research in Alien Agenda. Please read the related reviews.
— One of the top three books in the field!
Reviewer: a reader
This textbook on UFOs discusses how they work, the research, the investigations, and the scientific analysis. Steiger’s Alien Rapture presents a hidden agenda in the form of a gripping novel. Alien Agenda, by Jim Marrs, author of the bestseller Crossfire, is the history and present state of ufology. I have read more than 150 books on ufology and am considered something of an expert. These three books are must-buys for anyone interested in the subject. Dr. Hill’s book saw print only because his remarkable daughter had the foresight, after his death, to give his manuscript to a publisher. He worked at NASA for 30 years, investigated UFO sightings and contact cases, and was forbidden to talk about his work. NASA denies that it, or anyone inside NASA, has ever investigated UFOs. After you read this great work, you will see that the truth is otherwise.
— Unique, and indispensable if you are interested in UFOs

This book does not really need another five-star review. It deserves one, so I wrote it. It is unique in the UFO literature because it is the only pro-UFO book that actually does the mathematics. The late author was an engineer at NASA who had seen enough UFO evidence, including his own observations, to treat the existence of UFOs as established. The book therefore spends little time arguing whether they are real and asks instead: “All right, how do they work?” He makes a convincing case that if you assume one thing—that they use a focused repulsive force acting on all matter, not only charged matter, a kind of “antigravity”—then the observed motions of UFOs, the fact that they produce no sonic boom, and the fact that they do not crush their occupants under bullet-like accelerations can all be explained cleanly. He also notes that the observed color changes fit the hypothesis that a side effect of generating this force is a plasma.
It should be noted that the author does not offer a convincing account of how this repulsive force is actually produced. And, contrary to what one review here says, scientists have not found any “fifth force” capable of doing this.
