Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport UFO Incident, 2010

Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, yesterday evening (July 7, 2010), an unidentified flying object was spotted. The airport was forced to close, and there were multiple flight delays or diversions to other airports.

At the same time, Xinhua also reported that on the evening of the 7th, over Xiaoshan Airport, an unidentified flying object was seen. The airport was locked down, and large numbers of flights diverted to Ningbo and Wuxi. The authorities have stepped in, but its whereabouts have still not been found.

The crew spotted an unidentified flying object, and the airport was forced to close for 1 hour and 5 minutes.

The airport duty manager has already been surrounded by several news organizations. A reporter from CCTV News, hearing of it, has also flown in and is filming.

Airport duty manager Luo Miaoxiang said that at 20:45 the previous evening the airport was notified by air traffic control that a flight scheduled to land would have to divert to another nearby airport. “They said they suspected an unidentified flying object, and flights already in the air could only divert, or there might be a conflict.” Luo Miaoxiang denied that passengers at the airport had seen an unidentified flying object. “None of our airport staff saw it, and passengers in the terminal would have had even less chance of knowing.” As a result, between 20:45 and 21:50 on the evening of July 7, Xiaoshan Airport was forced to close for 1 hour and 5 minutes. Besides 12 flights that diverted to Wuxi, Ningbo, and other places, six flights departing the airport were delayed by more than an hour.

Residents around the airport also saw an unidentified flying object: a dot, flashing, that quickly disappeared.

Airport police said that, besides passengers aboard aircraft preparing to land, villagers around the airport also saw the unidentified flying object. On receiving the report, airport police immediately made a security sweep of the airport grounds. Air traffic control is monitoring with radar and other instruments. The exact latitude and longitude where the unidentified flying object appeared have not yet been officially released.
