Project Blue Book Exposed
📖 Project Blue Book Exposed
Kevin Randle, a well-known investigator at the UFO Research Center, analyzes in depth the cases in Project Blue Book. This 22-year U.S. Air Force study of the UFO phenomenon ended not long after the Condon Committee concluded in 1967 that the military’s UFO research lacked a foundation. Randle focuses on facts that do not fit the official explanations and argues that the Condon Committee was wrong: he holds that Project Blue Book was not a waste of time and that it in fact supplied evidence that UFOs exist. —This passage is quoted from an out-of-print edition of the book, or one that can no longer be reprinted.
This exhaustive study of previously classified files concludes that far more lies behind UFO sightings than the military has claimed. After investigating the files of the U.S. Air Force UFO study—Project Blue Book—journalist Kevin Randle found about 4000 cases that could not be explained. The author of The October Scenario and The UFO Casebook, Randle has studied the UFO phenomenon for more than 20 years.
A forceful “reassessment” of Project Blue Book and UFOs…

Dr. Kevin Randle is one of the few UFO investigators worth taking seriously. A retired Air Force captain, Randle has spent more than a quarter of a century investigating UFO sightings, and he has earned a reputation for rigorous research and objectivity that is rare in the field. Unlike many “UFO true believers” who treat the topic as a religion and seem to believe that every sighting is “evidence” of an alien visit, Randle is not afraid to admit that many sightings are hoaxes or can be explained by “ordinary” phenomena (birds, stars, ball lightning, and the like). He is highly skeptical of every UFO “abduction” report. At the same time, Randle holds that the testimony of thousands of capable, reliable, and often well-trained UFO witnesses cannot simply be dismissed, and that some UFO sightings are genuinely puzzling and deserve serious study by qualified scientists. In Project Blue Book Exposed, Randle presents one of the best books he has written. Project Blue Book was the code name for the U.S. Air Force’s top-secret investigation of UFO sightings from 1947 until 1969, when the project ended. At the time, the Air Force claimed that its 22-year investigation showed UFOs to be nothing but hoaxes or natural phenomena, not from outer space, and no threat to national security. As Randle makes painfully clear in this book, however, the Air Force’s claims were false and misleading. In the Blue Book files Randle found dozens of cases that could not be explained, and he found that Blue Book staff were under pressure to produce an explanation for every sighting, which often led them to “invent” explanations out of thin air, sometimes without even a brief investigation or an interview with the witnesses. As Randle reveals, the Air Force’s “explanations” of certain UFO sightings are themselves scientifically untenable, or contradict the evidence in the files. Beginning with Kenneth Arnold’s famous sighting of June 1947, which opened the UFO phenomenon in the United States, Randle selects several of the best-known UFO cases in the Project Blue Book files and examines them afresh. His conclusion is that, contrary to what the Air Force said, Project Blue Book actually provides strong and convincing evidence that UFOs are real, and that something strange is indeed happening in the skies over the United States.
